Lunch is on us! Join us as we celebrate the launch of the new Online Heritage Education Resource Center!
Enjoy good food and good company as we introduce you to the new Heritage Education Resource Center website LearnPhillyHeritage.org and hold a conversation about heritage education in Philadelphia. We want to know: How can we work together to ensure that all Philadelphia students have access to the educational resources and opportunities that they need to fully realize the benefits of living in the nations’ first World Heritage City?
Global Philadelphia Association is hosting this luncheon in collaboration with the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia as a part of the annual city-wide program On the Table Philly, which brings people together on Nov 8th for a meal and a conversation at events across the region. We'll provide the food, as well as some food for thought!
This event is free and open to the public, and would be of special interest to educators, educational organizations and resource providers, parents of Philadelphia students, and anyone interested in learning more about Philadelphia's diverse culture and history.
On the Table Philly is a forum designed to elevate civic conversation, foster new relationships and create a unifying experience. In 2017, over 300 conversations were held across the region to highlight local and regional issues at the community level. On November 8, 2018, Philadelphia area residents are invited to again gather in small groups across the region to share a meal and discuss the opportunities and issues we face in our communities. These conversations can inspire new ways we can work together to make our communities stronger, safer and more dynamic. This is a program of the Philadelphia Foundation and the Knight Foundation.
